Agribusiness Innovation Grants

Agribusiness Innovation Grants provide seed funding for farmer and other industry based groups to develop and evaluate ideas. Our grants allow recipients to develop their projects to a stage where they can attract other funding for further development through to commercialisation.

Agribusiness Innovation Grants are offered in two categories:

  • Research and technology development
    Grants of up to $120,000 are available to encourage new and innovative ideas that aid technological advances and benefit the farming community and wider agribusiness sector.
  • Pre trial/pre research, or demonstration/investigation purposes
    Grants of up to $20,000 are available for on-farm trials and evaluation aimed at encouraging farmer groups to find solutions to issues.

Investments made in Agribusiness Innovation Grants are targeted in areas aligned with AGMARDT’s strategic intent that bridge technology development and application. Applications for Agribusiness Innovation Grants are called for three times a year (30 April, 31 July & 31 October).
